Die Forschungsaktivitäten des
Lehrstuhls erstrecken sich auf alle Teildisziplinen des Faches
Automatisierungstechnik. Die Schwerpunkte lagen in der Vergangenheit im
Besonderen auf den Gebieten Leittechnik, Robotik und Computervision. Neben
diesen Gebieten wird sich der Lehrstuhl zukünftig den theoretischen Aspekten
der Regelungstechnik widmen. Dazu zählt beispielsweise die Methodik der
Intervallarithmetik im Bereich der Optimierung nicht linearer Systeme.
